4d Renderings
Visualizing and completing spaces in my head is easy for me, but having my clients understand my vision is sometimes hard to convey through words, photos, mood boards, Pinterest pages, etc. 4D, Photorealistic images help bring my visions to life and show a real visual for the space for those who are “visually impaired” (as one client described it to me :). My response to that, this is why I have a job and this is why I LOVE my job!
Back in college when I was first learning all the things that Interior Designers need in the world, rendering skills were not yet invented (yes, I’m old!). Over the years as technology got more developed (and after a lot of hands on training), 4D renderings have helped my clients reach into my visual brain and show them the actual vision I have for their space. Here are some examples:

Yes, there are mood boards. Yes, there are in person fabric and material selections. Yes, there are 2D CAD space plans. These are also needed and I do all of these, ALONG with 4D renderings. Renderings not only show clients all the final details of what their room will look like, but can be revised until the client is 100% satisfied and ready to make the decisions of what to invest for their space prior to the job actually starting!
As an Interior Designer with over 20 years of experience, I make 4D renderings in every single design I am involved in (residential OR commercial projects). If you ask other Interior Designers, they may or may not do this because it may take them too much time, but I feel this is too important to skip (Click here to learn more about the services I offer). The time and effort it takes to do the 4D renderings outweighs the costly mistakes and miscommunication one could have with the client. Also, the client will have a visual tool to work with if they prefer to work with his/her own contractor or architect. Most importantly, I know the client will be completely happy with my design ideas and out of box ideas before they make a commitment to the space. Here are some benefits of 4D Renderings:
PHOTOREALISTIC
Allows the client to see a specific room from multiple angles. Textures, patterns, colors, and furnishings can be seen to determine budget and investment decisions
SAVES EVERYONE TIME AND MONEY
With the end result shown before a wall is torn down, a paint brush touches a wall, or an expensive sofa is chosen for the space, the client and designer know exactly what is going to be in the space and no hidden surprises (AKA unexpected fees) will be discovered. 4D Renderings can be used throughout the project lifecycle (before, during, and end) through all those involved in the project. This could be an architect, carpenter, contractor, painter, etc. This alone could make or brake a budget!
REVISIONS TAKE SECONDS, NOT DAYS
With my 4D Rendering software, I am able to upload a texture to place on a wall, floor, or accessory (pillows, rugs, etc..) If you are wanting to see a room with that bold print but not sure what it would look like? Easy peasy, I just have to click a button and you will see the rendering to make sure you like it first! Want to keep that backsplash on the kitchen that was installed last year? No problem! I just take a photo of the current backsplash and upload it to my software program.
RENDERINGS MAY BE ALL YOU NEED
Being an Interior Designer, I use my 4D renderings to help navigate the client to big ticket purchases and paint selection. I also offer a service where you can take the 4D rendering of your space and shop on your own. This is for my budget conscious clients who like to bargain hunt and shop on their own for the “best deal”. This leaves me out of the process (which saves you my time, which saves you $$) but gives you a good guideline to follow when you are DIY crafting or shopping online. Or, lets say you have a favorite store you shop at and are having a hard time making a decision on what rug to place under your sofa, or what artwork to hang in your dining room. 4D renderings will show you this before your purchase!
