When I shop for outdoor furniture for clients, I make sure I teach them the difference between the good, better, best when it comes to how long they expect the furniture to last and what their overall budget is. Today, AI generated tools and amazing photography (and editing) can make any piece of furniture look amazing to a potential client. My job as an Interior Designer is to ensure you don’t judge a book by it’s cover (wink, wink). Even if you search online “where to buy quality outdoor furniture” and you will sometimes see the same results as “best affordable outdoor furniture” which is completely different. Read on to learn what I consider the “good, better, best” options for outdoor furniture. Most likely the items are in stock and can be shipped directly to your house
Cons
Furniture being left outside for one season will start to rust, peel, fade, scratch, and start to fall apart with heavy use
You will only be able to select the frame color/fabrics that is shown (no custom orders)
Shipping and Assembly can be a nightmare and you will have to handle on your own
Stains will not come out easily, scratches will be easy to make, cushions will remain wet longer than high quality furniture
If you do not have the budget to invest in high quality furniture, my advice to you is to purchase something that is plastic or metal from the vendors here, that way you can make them last the longest in an outdoor setting.

Furniture will last for 5-7 years if you take care of the items with furniture covers and bringing them inside during the harsh winter months
Some pieces (not all) are made of high quality materials which is better than the “good” category mentioned earlier
Sams Club carries some of the best outdoor furniture brands if you are a member! This makes their furniture the best affordable outdoor furniture to the end user (in my opinion)
Cons
You will notice some chipping, rusting, fading after a few seasons
The quality and durability may not be throughout the entire piece of furniture. Meaning, the fabric may be Sunbrella fabric but the cushion is made out of wrapped foam
Sams Club buys in bulk, which means their cost goes down which means the price to the end user is less expensive. However, when buying in bulk, you do not get to choose your fabric or material colors. No customization.
If you don’t want to break the bank and are planning to take care of your outdoor patio furniture with some maintenance, this category may be the best option for you. You can make the furniture last longer by purchasing furniture covers, bringing in the cushions when not in use, and moving to storage during the winter months.
